Abinaya Nallathambi
PhD Student (Marie Skłodowska Curie Action)
Hi, I am Abinaya Nallathambi, working as a Research Scholar in the Project NANOREMEDI funded by prestigious Marie Skłodowska Curie action in European Union.
My academic journey started at the esteemed SSN College of Engineering Chennai, a city steeped in rich history and culture. Here, I did my engineering degree in biomedical. Hard work and dedication owned my thesis the internal funding and igniting a spark in me to continue my journey in research. I ventured out to the picturesque city of Basel, Switzerland, known for its pristine landscapes and world-renowned universities. I delved deeper into the field of biomaterials, working with cutting-edge technologies like neuro electrodes and electrospinning scaffold for cell delivery. The experience of working independently and adhering to international standards allowed me to hone my skills and specialize in the field of biomaterials.
I am fortunate to get selected for this highly competitive NANOREMEDI program to enhance and deliver my knowledge and expertise to the next level by developing new-generation regenerative biomaterials using peptides to solve the urgent clinical requirement for vascular graft. It also has the potential to revolutionize the way we approach tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
