I earned my Master’s degree in Industrial Chemistry at University of Pisa in 2019. During my Master’s degree stage I developed new scaffolds for bone tissue engineering employing innovative materials, under the supervision of Prof. Federica Chiellini and Dr. Dario Puppi. I got a PhD in Chemistry and Material Science at University of Pisa in 2024 under the supervision of Dr. Dario Puppi. My research was focused on the development of new materials based on biotechnological polymers, through chemical synthesis and physical blending, and their processing through advanced fabrication techniques, such as 3D printing techniques, for the development of biomedical devices. During my PhD I spent 6 months at the Department of Mechanical, Aerospace, and Civil Engineering at the University of Manchester (UK), working in the group of Dr. Marco Domingos. I am currently working as a Postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Rossella Dorati on the project BiOCARE. The project aims at the recovery of a secondary raw material from an agri-food waste and its reintegration in a production cycle transforming it into a tissue-non-woven to be used in biomedical field.
