Silvia Pisani
Research Associate
Silvia Pisani is currently researcher at the Department of Drug Sciences, University of Pavia and at the IRCCS Policlinic San Matteo (Pavia). She obtained degrees in Pharmacy and in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology at the university of Pavia. She got PhD in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Pavia in 2019. Moreover, she obtained a second level master's degree in “Mesenchymal cells in regenerative medicine and cell factory management” at University of Torino. Her researches involve electrospinning and rapid prototyping techniques for the manufacturing of 3D-scaffolds for tissue regeneration and drug delivery. She is working also in the field of head and neck cancer therapy exploiting electrochemotherapy and nanotechnology synergism. She was involved in NFFA- Europe (Horizon 2020 EU) project at FORTH (Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas), Crete (Greece). She has been working in the research groups of Prof. Kit Parker DBG -Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Boston, USA, and Prof. Adriele Prina-Mello’s Lab at School of Medicine, Trinity College.
